About us

Our Story

A bit about Wastesavers

Wastesavers are a charity and business who run a number of services for the community in South East Wales. These include:

Our focus is on using waste as a resource; reusing it, recycling it and using it to train, educate and employ. We have been in operation for almost 40 years and during that time we have reused and recycled more than 315,000 tonnes of ‘waste’. That’s as much as 17,500 double decker buses!

Vision

To create a sustainable future where waste reduction & reuse is common place

What cannot be reduced or reused is recycled by methods that retain the value of the material. We use this process to create opportunities, to reduce poverty, to educate and to support our communities. Join us as we empower people, transform mindsets and create a sustainable future for generations to come.

Environment

We believe in a circular economy, and the power of recycling and reuse for positive action in our community.

Community

We believe in supporting our community, being inclusive and providing help where and when it’s needed.

Our People

We believe we can make a positive difference to the lives of our staff, volunteers and placements. We will support their wellbeing, provide opportunities and create a sense of belonging.
