From 6 April 2024, it became law for all businesses, charities and public sector organisations to sort their waste for recycling.

This law applies to all businesses, charities and public sector organisations operating in Wales.

Workplaces and business will be issued a fixed monetary penalty (FMP) of between £300 and £500 if any breaches are proven. Audits will be taking place by NRW at all businesses across Wales.

The Welsh Government Code of Practice gives you more detailed information about the new workplace recycling law and how
should comply.
