HR Manager

Wastesavers are a third sector organisation working primarily in Newport, South Wales. We offer a range of recycling, reuse and education services in South East Wales and our aims are to reduce the amount of material going to landfill and to use that waste as a resource for social change.  Established over 30 years ago, the charity now employs some 76 people and is continuing to grow. We are looking to employ a part-time HR Manager to support this development.

This is a new role for the group and one that will form part of the senior management team. You will work with each of the department managers plus the CEO to guide, advise and implement effective human resource management across the whole organisation. You will ensure the group is engaged in continuous improvement and you will proactively engage with all staff and volunteers; from our trustees to those delivering frontline services.

Recycling Collector

Wastesavers is a third sector recycling Charity that offers a range of recycling, reuse, education and training services in South East Wales, based around waste management and recycling.  We are an environmental organisation whose aims are to reduce the amount of material going to landfill and to benefit the local community of Newport.

We are looking for a Recycling Collector to join our team. This person will be collecting recycling from the kerbside and sorting this for further resale.

Recycling Driver/Collector (Must have HGV Class 2 license/Category C + Driver CPC card)

Wastesavers is a third sector recycling group that offers a range of recycling, reuse, education and training services in SE Wales, based around waste management and recycling. We are an environmental organisation whose aims are to reduce the amount of material going to landfill and to benefit the local community of Newport. We are looking for a Recycling Operative to join our team. This person will be driving a recycling truck and collecting recyclables from the kerbside and sorting this for further resale.

We have a variety of opportunities at our IT and furniture reuse showroom. These provide an ideal chance to gain valuable work experience, learn new skills and work in a friendly team helping people in need. Full training and a supportive environment.

Do you want to make a real difference to the third sector’s position in recycling and waste management? Would you like to help Newport work towards 70% recycling, towards increasing reuse and encourage training and education in the workplace and at school?

We have an opening for a Trustee for Wastesavers Charitable Trust Ltd and Wastesavers Recycling Ltd.

Ideally, we are looking for someone with experience in any one of the following; business leadership and management, financial management, charity management, working with volunteers, working with disabled people or human resource management.
