Education - Peak

Welcome to PEAK

Peak is an alternative curriculum for year 9 to year 11 pupils struggling with mainstream education or have any additional needs. All Peak courses provide transferrable skills that will help pupils with their future life choices, with the opportunity to gain unit certificates at the end. We have a maximum of 10 pupils per class, to ensure that we maintain a student centered learning approach.

How to refer a child

If a child is in mainstream education, You can ask the school and local authority to refer your child. If a child is homeschooled, the parent/guardian can refer them.

Session lenths

Our sessions last around 30-40 minutes with 15 minute break in between sessions. The lessons usually consist of 1 portfolio session and 2 practical lessons. A child can attend every day or one day a week to break up school timetable. We work around your needs.

Our funding

We charge a small fee to schools for taking in pupils to Peak, far less than other providers. We are able to run the programme from our operation as a social enterprise where funds from our shops and commercial activities cover the costs of the project.

Visit us

You can arrange and meet and greet from Monday - Friday. Between 9:45am -10:15am or 14:00pm-14:30pm.
