I have been involved in the financial services sector for 30 years and spent the latter part of my career in the Gulf States where as Executive Director I was responsible for the Middle East and North Africa Treasury business for JP Morgan and latterly Citibank.

I have been a Trustee with Wastesaver’s since 2019 and have experience working with other charities as part of the Cranfield Trust volunteer scheme.

I am a partner at Waitrose and volunteer as a Fraud Specialist with Gwent Police.

Wastesaver’s offers me the opportunity to utilise a careers worth of experience whilst also learning from my fellow board members and the superb management team at Wastesavers.

I am proud to be one of the founder members and current chair of the charity.

Wastesavers has grown organically since our early mission to educate people about recycling.

We now have a multi million pound turnover but have retained our charitable, non-profit ideology.

In recent years I lecturered in Graphic Design at the University of South Wales. Prior to that I trained as a French Chef and worked in both hotel and industrial catering.

Since 1990 I have been a councillor at Newport City Council. My passions are sport, art, music and culture. Since 2005 I have been on the organising committee for the Annual Chartist Convention.

My proudest moment was playing for Wales against England in the Veterans Football international at Dragon’s Park. I am a member of Greenpeace, Wales CND and Amnesty International.

I have worked in people development for the 35+ years, starting my career as a graduate trainee with Ford Motor Company.

After working for a number of global organisations, in 2008 I started my own business, helping leaders to build great teams.

I am passionate about creating diverse workplaces where each person can reach their full potential.

I have been a Trustee since 2017 and love working with this dynamic and purpose led team.

The Wastesaver’s team are inspiring.  They’re passionate about helping their local community.  I feel privileged to be a trustee for this wonderful organisation and part of its continuing growth and success.
