An inspiring case study from PEAK
Liam O’Brien, a Year 10 student from Cwmbran High School, joined us at PEAK in September 2022. Like many students who come our way, the expectations for Liam were low when it came to earning certificates—mostly because he had earned the title of “class clown.” A delightful young man with a sharp sense of humour, Liam sometimes struggled to find the off switch for his jokes.
When Liam arrived, there was a deal on the table from his school: if he showed improvement at PEAK, he’d secure a spot in college for Year 11. Despite only attending one day a week, he not only achieved 100% attendance but also earned two unit certificates in Taster Course Woodwork and Woodwork Project.
